Immigrants & Refugees

Immigrants & Refugees

Every Tuesday morning at 7AM we gather to pray as a community in Doak Walker Plaza.

This week we're praying for an end to the exploitation of human lives in sex trafficking. Here are this week's prayer points:

1. Provision.

Pray that the Lord would graciously provide for all of their needs.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
— Psalm 18:2

2. Love.

Pray that host countries would welcome refugees with open arms and show Jesus' love. THat they would have loving eyes to see and loving hands to care for those without homes.

Love the sojourner, therefore, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
— Deuteronomy 10:19

3. Justice.

Pray that legislation would correspond with the Lord's heart for justice for immigrants and refugees.

Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him.
— Isaiah 30:18-19
