Every Tuesday morning at 7AM we gather to pray as a community in Doak Walker Plaza.

This week we're praying for the protection and preservation of unborn lives. Here are this week's prayer points:

1. Pray that we would see an end to abortion.

Pray for eyes to be opened and hearts to be stirred to contend for the lives of the unborn. Pray for there to be outcries against this injustice within and outside the abortion industry. For our nation to recognize, value, and protect life at ALL stages. Pray that our hearts would believe and trust in God for this victory.

...the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.
— Deuteronomy 20:4
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one’s youth.
Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.

2. Healing for women who have already had abortions.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

3. Pray for a passion for life!

Pray that women would embrace their biological, God-given, unique ability to bring life into this world and to be mothers. Pray for an increase in compassion towards pregnant women in our communities. Pray for an abundance of relationships and resources for those who feel alone and overwhelmed in their pregnancy.

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

4. Adoption.

Pray for more and more families to adhere the calling to adopt and to love their children well.

he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
